Accepting these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the WATCHDROP team (“we”) about using the WATCHDROP app for Windows (the “app”), the watchdrop.cc website and the WATCHDROP Discord bot. By downloading, installing or running the app you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
These terms are a public offer. Downloading, installing or running the app counts as full and unconditional acceptance of it (Articles 437 and 438 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).
What WATCHDROP does
The app signs in to your Twitch account, watches streams with Twitch Drops campaigns and claims drops once they're ready. It also lists free game giveaways and sends notifications to Windows and Discord.
WATCHDROP is free. We may change, add or remove features, or stop working on the project, without notice.
Not affiliated with Twitch
WATCHDROP is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch Interactive, Inc., Discord Inc. or any game publisher. Twitch, Discord, game names and logos belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe how the app works.
Your Twitch account and risks
You use your own Twitch account and you're responsible for it. Twitch's terms limit automated access to the service, and Twitch may consider third-party tools a violation.
Twitch may restrict your account, reset campaign progress or withhold drops. We can't influence that and don't compensate such losses. By using the app you accept this risk.
The app doesn't inflate viewer counts or bypass campaign limits: it watches one stream per account, like a regular viewer.
Drops
Campaigns are run by game publishers, and drops are granted by Twitch and publishers. We don't guarantee that a campaign is available in your region, that progress will count or that a drop will arrive in the game. Claiming usually requires linking your game account to Twitch on the publisher's site. Questions about granted drops go to the publisher.
Acceptable use
Use WATCHDROP for yourself. Don't:
- sell the app, access to it, or accounts with drops earned through it;
- distribute modified builds under the WATCHDROP name and logo;
- add malicious code to the app or impersonate the WATCHDROP team;
- overload, hack or bypass the limits of our servers and bot;
- use the app to break the law.
If these rules are broken, we may cut off your access to the bot and our servers.
License
We grant you a simple (non-exclusive), free license to use the app: you may install and run it on your devices worldwide for as long as these terms apply (Article 1286 of the Russian Civil Code). The WATCHDROP name, logo, mascot and design belong to the team.
The app is based on the open-source TwitchDropsMiner project (MIT license) and uses other open components, such as the Onest font (SIL OFL). Those components are covered by their own licenses.
Updates
The app checks for updates on its own and installs them on exit by default. You can turn auto-install off in settings. Older versions may stop working when Twitch changes its service, so we recommend staying up to date.
Third-party services
The app works with Twitch, Discord, IsThereAnyDeal and the Epic Games Store, and links to store pages. Those services follow their own rules, and we're not responsible for them. Giveaways are shown as listed by stores, and their terms may change at any time.
No warranty
The app, website and bot are provided “as is”. We do our best to keep things working, but we don't guarantee that the app will run without errors or interruptions, fit your purpose, or keep working after Twitch changes something.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for missed drops, account restrictions, data loss or other damage from using or being unable to use WATCHDROP. This doesn't limit rights that can't be waived by law.
Termination
You can stop using WATCHDROP at any time: uninstall the app and run /stop in the bot. The no-warranty and liability sections still apply afterwards.
Age
You must be 13 or older to use WATCHDROP, just like Twitch. If you're under 18, you need a parent's permission.
Changes
We may update these terms. A new version takes effect once it's published on this page. We'll announce major changes on Discord and Telegram in advance. If you keep using the app, you accept the new version.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, message us first: almost anything can be sorted out in a chat. If we can't agree, the dispute goes to court under the laws of the Russian Federation.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. If any provision turns out to be invalid, the rest stay in effect.
